Shares are of $121,200, the counted license bill across all 12 departments with a counted seat row; 4 of them are below the top eight and not drawn. Teams below the five-person privacy floor are merged. An em dash is a figure this product does not hold.

1 row is not drawn here: it has no counted seat data, because the directory join has not supplied a publishable figure. It is still in the table below, with an em dash rather than a guess.

Comparison

No month here is measured yet: every bar is the labeled envelope estimate, built to under-count rather than to flatter. The final bar is drawn open because it is this month so far a shorter month, not a smaller one.

160 paid seats bought and never assigned cost $4,800 a month. They are part of the paid-seat bill and of no department’s row. assumption · seats counted from your Microsoft license records, priced at this product’s default seat assumption · as of 24 September 2026.

Privacy floor, stated rather than assumed. This page groups directory people. Users and teams groups assigned seat holders; Department AI visibility includes people after personal privacy choices, so its totals can differ. This page never names a person — named recognition exists only on Department AI visibility, where your organization's policy and each person's own choice decide it. Teams of five or more people keep their names; smaller teams are shown together and small figures are shown in words. There is no per-person view, screen or export of anyone else in this system for any leader to pull.

Reconciliation ledger — approved, by whom, fulfilled, and did the bill agree

One row per request. The two right-hand columns are computed from Microsoft’s own records and each carries the age of the check behind it.

0 reconciled2 awaiting owner approval

Scroll sideways for the remaining columns.

One row per credit or seat request: what was asked, who approved it, the cost center it is charged to, whether Microsoft’s own records show it was fulfilled, and whether the measured bill agrees. The fulfillment and invoice columns are computed and carry the age of the check behind them; the cost center and any Microsoft reference are declared and carry the age of the declaration. Every row is a department, a role, a count and a measured dollar — never a person.

Microsoft governs the credit; Aristo governs the decision and the reconciliation. When a credit request is routed out of the Microsoft admin center, Microsoft marks it Handled externally — a routing label that records only that the request left, and never that it was approved, declined or fulfilled, with no loop back from the outside system (Microsoft Learn on managing Copilot Credits). Microsoft also says plainly that the admin center dashboards, Azure Cost Management and its finalized invoices “are related, but they don’t show the same level of detail” (Microsoft Learn, comparing the dashboard views) — which is why the invoice column above carries a 10% tolerance rather than an equals sign. Both facts are in the library in full.
How every number on this page was arrived at, and what is not measured yet

Counted means read directly from your Microsoft license records or usage signals. Measured means taken from your own billing export for the month being shown. Estimate means an envelope Aristo computed and labeled as one. Assumption means a default this product supplied because you have not set the real value. Every figure above carries the weakest of the words that apply to it.

The department table carries TWO money columns on two different bases, and they are never added together. License cost is the seats a team actually holds, counted, at your seat price. Consumption allocation is the budget your organization set for each department, from the same register as Budgets and requests. Where more than one budget names the same department, their allocations are added. A department without a saved budget shows a dash.

Not every card carries a comparison against the previous run, and the ones that do not are deliberate. A prior run stores seats ready to activate, not seats ready to activate plus unassigned seats, so a percentage drawn between the two would compare different quantities under one label. Where the prior figure is the same field it is used; where it is not, the card shows no delta rather than a plausible one.

  • Consumption so far this month: estimate · Illustrative consumption scenario. Connect your Azure Cost Management export for measured dollars.
  • Cost split by product family over time is not measured. Seat cost is known per product from your license records; metered consumption is not yet attributed to a product family, so the trend below shows one honest series rather than a stacked chart with an invented split.
  • Every dollar on this page is priced at a default seat assumption, not your negotiated price. Setting the real seat cost in Settings re-prices the whole page.
